Development of a new version (IV) of Keeping Archives

The Australian Society of Archivists (ASA) seeks expressions of interest from individuals or corporations to develop a scope of works, under the guidance of the ASA Council Working Party, for the development of a new version (IV) of Keeping Archives

This new version would consist of a digital interactive platform, that provides an online engaging process for those wishing to access Keeping Archives IV. A review of all the content of the previous 3rd version would be required, and where necessary, the content updated to reflect current practices, procedures and archival theory.

About Keeping Archives

Keeping Archives, a key publication of the ASA has evolved over the years. Originally self-published in 1987, it served as a foundational resource for archive management. The second edition, released in 1993 incorporated changing concepts and approaches in light of evolving organisational structures and technology-based record formats. In 2008, the third edition expanded its scope to encompass digital archives and technology-driven preservation, access, and education. It also offered essential resources for archives, including downloadable templates and checklists.
